I'm not familiar too much with fishing Henry's Fork, but a friend of mine had some luck yesterday and I want to give it a shot. The regs say that from the "Del Rio Bridge upstream to the Vernon Bridge" I can keep 2 16" + trout. Where are these bridges? I live in IF so I'm not too familiar with the north fork. Also, any help with bait would be great.

Thanks.

There is a map that should help you on p39 of the regulations.

I think the Del Rio Bridge is just north of St. Anthony . On the old hyway . To get to Vernon Bridge you turn west in Ashton between the forest service building and the A&W .

That doesn't tell me where the bridges are

Thank you Curt. That was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!

What do you mean? That map on pg 39 shows you exactly where the different bridges are.

On another note, I really love fishing the Henry's fork. If you fish above the hwy 20 bridge, there always seem to be nice browns and pretty cutts in that stretch.

Barry is correct on page 39 there is a very good map of that part of the river . Vernon Bridge is one bridge south of the one straight west of Ashton .

I think maybe the OP just assumed that the overview map on p35 is the only map and never looked at p39.

You are correct the map on 39 makes it easy to understand the boundrys . I have not fished above Chester Dam to Ashton Dam . I have fished around the Fun Farm a lot .

I did miss that page. Sorry 'bout that. Thanks for the help. Hoping to pull a couple in on Friday.

Love to hear how you do. Good luck!

We pulled in 2 small brookies. 10"ers at best. But you know the saying "a bad day fishing beats a good day working."

I think the fish in the picture is a Brown trout , not a brookie .

I'd never caught a brown before (being new to this area) so you're probably right.
That doesn't tell me where the bridges are
They go across the river.[Wink]
