Feb 18-20, 2014 Lake Guntersville – John and Floyd finished their bucket list trip to Guntersville with some great fish including Floyd’s biggest fish ever (8.72 on a jig) and several fish on Assassinator Buzzbaits, YES! We found 58 degree water and caught them…Today the guy’s from Bad Poncho Outdoors joined me on their way to the Classic in Birmingham AL and they enjoyed the change in weather by boating several fish today on crank baits and Jigs. Our best results came on a Tightline Football head jig (Guntersville Special) followed closely by rattle baits such as Strike King Red eye shad, Azuma Shaker and ExCalibur XR-50’s. Water temperatures ranged between 47 to 55 degrees on most of the lake and some locations it actually hit 56 to 59 degrees. Fish are still scattered and sluggish but we noticed lots of small males starting to move in to the pockets and to the regular staging areas. I have days and guides available; make your reservations now for some great late winter and spring action on Guntersville or Tim’s Ford with full time Professional USCG Licensed and Insured guides. We supply all fishing gear including Duckett Fishing Rods, LEW’s reels; Top quality lures such as SPRO Crank baits and Vicious Line, Missile Baits, and Tightline Jigs.
