Hello Everyone,

Nevada and Arizona are conducting studies on a new freeway. This could possibly run from Mexico to Canada. One of the proposed options is right down Lake Mead parkway to North Shore Drive up to overton. If you live in this area or fish the Lake or visit the park for other reasons be warned there may be a freeway in your way soon. There is a survey listed on their website. I was just looking at all the maps of possible routes and couldn't find where it has it going up lakeshore rd to overton only multiple routes to I-15 near the speedway and the 95 near mt charelston. The parts of the lake road effected are southern parts from what I can see. Itll still suck if it happens cuz getting to that part of the lake may turn into a nightmare.

If you go to the city of Henderson link above it will show the 3 routes they are looking at y and z and BB-QQ. The Y route uses the existing 215 and connects into the 95 up north. The Z route goes straight up the 515 up to the 95. [#FF0000]The BB-QQ is the one that will start at Lake Mead PWKY in Henderson all the way to the Lake Shore Dr. The up to overton.[/#FF0000]

The BB-QQ map can be seen better if you print it out. Henderson and Lake Mead Park does not need an interstate running thru it. I feel it will be a bad thing for many reasons. Please take the survey and voice your thoughts before it is too late.
