My brother and I fished the berry today. We caught 34 lost 15 at the hole, we had 2 broken lines, 1 broken hook and i had 1 take my favorite pole down the hole, gone by by. An hour later i was reeling up the slack off the bottom with a spare pole only to be surprised i hooked the pole and brought it back to the top of the hard deck to fish with again. Man those fish were hitting hard this morning compared to last week.

We fished the exact spot from tuesday the 18th and had about the same success. Here are the pics from the 2 outings.

We are heading up tomorrow, we were going today but the weather said 55mph winds with an 80% chance of snow. Can anyone confirm that?
Not sure how fast the winds were.. But they certainly felt like they were going to blow our tent around today. It snowed too. The fishing was excellent. the catching was slow. I only Saw one other group catch a single fish. Everyone else I spoke with in the marina area said it was slow (So slow in fact that one group had built a slide out of the snow, and the other had left their poles in search of more people for a snowball fight)

Ice was Solid and Thick (Almost bottomed out the auger). but we only had 1 bite the whole day. Variety of jigs and lures colors, depths.

Did you happen to seen any quads or sleds on the ice?
Tons actually.. a couple windsurfers too.

That's pretty funny you caught your pole. My grandpa did something similar about 8 years ago. The first tiger Muskie he caught at pine view happened when he hooked into a pole that was swimming around. He reeled in the pole that he hooked and it had a 36 inch tiger on the end of the line.
