Water is still too cold for them to be really active, but they will bite if you can find them and put your bait in front of their noses. You just have to pretty much smack them in the face because they won't travel far from their winter holes.

I will second what he said. I will add look in areas with little flow and shallow. They do like to come up shallow on warm days to soak up the warm and look for winter killed fish. Ron

i caught 4 last weekend all after dark on worms way out in the river in a deep slow hole
