Dad and I decided to head south to the G since there was a CBA on Chick today. Didn't wanna get in those guys' way. Had a great day catching fish all day long. Started out on some deep grass in about 6-7 ft close to the main channel. Had a limit of about 15 lbs by about 8:30 there on a variety of baits including Rig, traps, swimbait and chatterbait. Stayed there for about 3 hrs and decided to move shallow once the sun got up good. Good move cause dad caught the biggest of the day in about 3 ft on a trap. She went almost 6 lbs and absolutely hammered it! Seemed like the fish were really scattered out but they were eating just about anything you threw at them once you found them. We caught a ton of 2-3 lb fish today. A lot of little bucks. Don't think the big females have really moved shallow yet but it's just a matter of time. Ended up catching a total of about 25 fish with 14 keepers with our best 5 going almost 20 lbs. Water temp ranged from 52-58. Got some good pics including one of a fish that choked a swimbait! The last pic is one that dad caught on Chick on Monday on trap that was his PB at 8.02
