fishes thurs night part of friday and a little bit sat. Caught a bunch of nice trout but only 3 walleye. talks to a bunch of really nice folk and got some tips to better target the eyes but man that wind got ridiculous. Fri afternoon when the wind and rain made fishing impossible we drove into jarbridge (sp) NV what a beautiful canyon and area. that was. sat gave up on the lake and went down to my favorite sturgeon hole and landed 6 and had one other almost to the bank and lost him all in all a good weekend

Anyone know if docks are in at the Dam at Salmon Falls Res. ?

How about if there is water in the Backwaters?

one dock was in. The lake was still very low so other than the creek i think backwaters is still high and dry

Launched at the dam Saturday morning, windy and cooooold. Yes the docks are in now. Just decided to stay down around the lower end of the reservoir and troll for trout since the H2o temp is only 40-41 degrees. Worked our way up the west shore towards whiskey slough and antelope bay with only a couple hits. Morning was pretty slow till about 2:00 pm. then BAM! Feeding frenzy.
Had a lot of hook-ups and lost them about the time you grabbed the rod out of the holder. Ended up landing 10 and lost at least that many more. Some nice big fish too. Feeding lasted about one and a half hours then all done.

What flavor of fish were you getting? Thanks for the report!

We were targeting trout that day. The water temp is still pretty chilly for much walleye activity. Water is getting pretty dirty up by Greys and Norton right now.
