hi everyone! I am trying to make it down to lake powell for the bass federation state qualifier. The only problem is that despite all my best efforts i haven't been able to raise all of the funds for the trip, so in a last ditch effort i have created a go fund me site to raise the funds.
here is the link to my go fund me site:

Please check it out, read my story and donate! any donation is greatly appreciated and will be payed forward!
Thanks so much, Sam Barrus

So we need a better explanation of what happened to Brent's boat, that looked really bad !! Hope things turned out okay in the end. Did his motor get banged up or was he able to trim it up. Any holes in the hull ??
Couple of good looking LMB that Steve is holding up. He is a great guy and a heck of a fisherman. Looks like you had a pretty good trip !!
it was a really good trip, we had sustained 40mph winds with gusts to 70 mph on sunday, brent was attempting to trailer his boat but the wind and 4foot waves at the ramp blew him off course and into shore, he was able to trim up before he hit shore so there wasnt much damage to the motor. he had waves crashing over the side of his boat all night but the bilge kept pumping all night so he was able to retrieve his boat the next morning, he did have about 3 inches of sand in the boat though, i think mostly it just really banged up the gel coat.
My roomate Clinton was steves nonboater on sunday, and they stayed out a little too long and got caught up in the washing machine. Clinton got soaked and developed hypothermia but luckily they tucked into hansens and found some campers that were able to take care of him and warm him up. steve decided to brave the 6-8 foot waves to make it back to bullfrog and arrived around 8:30 pm clinton decided it was best to stay with the campers overnight and was picked up the next morning. it was definetly a trip to remember!

Just curious why did the boat get left there all night? Didn't your buddy have rain gear?
The boat was left there because the wind and waves made it impossible toget the boat off the shore, I beleive brents engine sucked up some water as well so he didnt want to try and start it which meant he would have to use the trolli g motor to trailer it, and yes my buddy did have rain gear but it wasnt very good raingear apparently and got soaked
