Three were on crawler harnesses(BB), two were on #5 black and gold jointed rapala(BB), two were on #5 purple flicker shad(BB), and the other three were caught jigging a chartruese grub minnow(controlled drift w/trolling motor).

Sportsmans, cabelas, shields, smith and Edwards, and dicks all just sold out of #5jfr in gold and black. They thank you[Wink]. Seriously thanks for the info. I've also been using WH on BB and rapalas, but not on BB. Im new at this. When trolling the raps how far off the bottom do you keep your bouncer? Does it work if your rap is constantly digging the mud?

Great job on catching the 'eyes....
When trolling BB's, I find bottom and then raise raise it about 6" and then let the crank tick bottom ever now and then. Letting it dig in, without snagging(if your lucky and again depending on the bottom) is good to do to stir up the bottom a little to maybe trigger a bite.
Sometimes, if the walleye are higher, I will go to a three-way rig with a longer lead on the dropper sinker.
Try to keep your offerings above the marked walleye. Walleyes feed up.

That's a keen observation that causes a lot of head slapping, Jay.

Fish with eyes on the top of their head tend to look and feed up ESPECIALLY if they also have protruding lower jaws. The combination is almost a cinch to be on an upward-feeding fish. Walleye, bass, and crappie all share these traits.

Nice haul of eyes, thanks for sharing how you caught them. Had these fish finished spawning? I don't care either way just trying to figure out how long it will be for the eyes at Willard if those in UL are done spawning, hopefully soon[Wink].

All were males. I was lucky to find a little stretch where they were staging.
