I fail to understand spending resources and time decontaminating boats entering known contaminated waters.
[#800000]That would be to prevent FURTHER contamination.[/#800000]
Every unit leaving contaminated waters should be decontaminated before leaving.
[#800000]You could also say every unit leaving contaminated waters should be decontaminated before entering uncontaminated waters. If you're going to leave Powell and then return to Powell, there wouldn't be much need to decontaminate when leaving - would there? [/#800000][#800000]I'm not trying to start an argument, but there are lots of variables here.
It's nice to know, for now, that you can have your boat cleaned when you leave if you ask. If you don't need that service (you have enough time to properly clean, drain, & dry your boat before your next trip) and you want to leave immediately you can do that. We should have a written policy decision from the GCNRA on this issue in a couple of weeks. Maybe we should wait until that decision has been made before we jump to conclusions or make assumptions.[/#800000]
[#800000]Again, no disrespect intended.[/#800000]
