put in at Waconda at 10:00 and ran up river. started off well with a hook up thirty minutes in on a trap but couldn't get er in the boat. after that it was hours of chunking and winding. went to rigs, cranks, jerks and shakies with a lot of downtime until about 2:00. had a solid keeper and a couple of fours with a few slicks on the red eye. went through a variety of colors before sticking with gold to end the day. overall, it was slow, but we managed to get a couple of nice ones in the boat. we caught our fish in two feet of water with a temp reading of 58 degrees.
