Does anyone know if Indian Creek clears up or if it's always muddy? Was out there today and caught two. Not very big maybe 13inch but the water was really stained. Just curious.

The res/pond along the freeway next to the stage stop.

Oh, I don't know anything about fishing it, but that looks like a fun place to stop on the drive to and from IF. Of course, I say the same thing about the Burley ponds right off the freeway, and I haven't stopped once.

Back in the olden days before the landowners upstream held back so much water, it used to have water in it clear up to the freeway. It was never really clear, because of all the vegetation in the water, but it wasn't chocolate ever that I can remember. I used to float around in my tube with a small black jig and catch bass and an occasional crappie, but the big story was the huge bluegill. They were all dinner plate size- without exaggeration. I remember seeing guys that looked like bass tournament boys trolling around in their fancy-pants bass boats and ripping plugs and spinnerbaits on the pond, catching a little bass on every cast. I think they were just out practicing or something.
I haven't driven past the place yet this spring- how much water is in it now?

Yep, when it backed up to the freeway, you could fish the stream channel just after it passed through the road, and pick up some real nice crappie, and an occasional bass. Back then you could park on the side of the freeway w/ no hassles. I can't remember when it was last up that high, but it's been a while. Same thing happened to the people who built it. It was to support orchards, and they were successful for several years, and then it went dry during some drought years. That was it for the orchards. Mike

Not a lot. 5ft was the deepest but most of it was 3ft according to my fishing buddy.
I too remember when it was up to the freeway but I never fished it.
