We made plans to hit Starvation this morning. Only lasted a couple hours after the wind made me decide to head for Deer Creek. We had passed Strawberry just before light and noticed a dark spot at the ladders, thinking it was slush. Upon returning around 1030 we noticed the channel went out quite a bit and we just had to stop and float it. Glad we did. We got some funny looks dragging out toons down to the waters edge. We noticed some guys standing on the ice but fishing the soft water. Didn't stay long but landed some on the fly rod. Now I can say ive floated and landed fish on a fly rod in March on Strawberry. That was a first for me. Enough water for a few rigs and its only a matter of time now for it to really open up.

The first curve off the highway heading towards the ladders was pretty soft and muddy on Saturday but I made it in and out in 2 wheel drive, but almost had to put it in 4 high. I remember thinking how bad the road was. Sorry you got stuck, but if you make it back in there when it dries up Im sure you'll land some nice bows and cuts, you seem to have that place dialed it.

we did well on Friday and drove in my car but sunday it snowed again and there was over two feet of snow on the road and it was impassable in a car and I'm sure it remains the same way now but we walked from the main road and did well again Monday but on my caught two slot buster cuts but did catch a few fish
