Went down to Blacktail today. The docks are in the water and the water is pretty muddy. As you get towards the canyons heading towards Tex creek the water greens up. Kokanee were caught super deep but nothing up shallow. Anchored off in the muddy water up willow creek and quickly got hit, was hopeful for a walleye but brought up a massive suck face instead, got some perch action, but still feels a little bit early.

Happy fishing!

It sounds like at least you got a good base hit! I used to fish Ririe from the bank about 18 years ago when I was a college student and lived near IF. I went fishing with some friends and my son Saturday and got blown off the Snake down by Burley. My son did land a big carp and two suckers but we were hoping for catfish. Maybe the perch fishing will warm up with the weather.

Was probably a fluke but I caught several kokes right by the black tail dock last week. Even caught one while standing on the boat ramp dock before I got in the canoe. I also went up willow creek to try for a walleye and had no such luck.
