So I usually fish for cats out near the refuge. I went out a few days ago and got a few small channels. It seemed they only wanted to bite on worms. I was wondering if anyone could help me with other locations to try along the bear for cats and/or crappie? I know there are lots of spots further north and up by cutler, but I'm just not sure what's exits to take and where to go. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Pm if necessary.

Thanks,

Justin

Try the Corinne exit. The Bear runs right outside of town with a couple of spots you could try.

Lot of good spots in the city of Bear River. Try by the park, and then there is a spot a little further up by an abandoned bridge, always been good. Dont know about crappie though.

Thanks for all the advice. Yesterday, I took a drive and explored some new areas. First, I hit up the BR where it exits Cutler by the pumps. I found what looked liked a great run/pool but was only able to pull out one medium catfish. I also heard rumors that a smaller creek in the area was good for cats. I got just one medium cat out of there and no other bites. Finally I hit up the Corinne area near the boat ramp. It always looks so good here with all the snags and concrete, but I never do that well. I pulled in two small cats and that was it. Maybe I should just stick to the refuge, but I'd sure like some alternatives and other species.
