I had High hopes of finding Crappie in all the right spots today before the winds set in. I hit many of my So called Honey holes and found No Crappie at all. I starting catching a wide Color spectrum as I realized I was catching every color but the White and Blacks. I caught a Green sunfish, Blue Catfish, Red Drum, Brown SM Bass Green LM Bass, while after the White and Black Crappie.
On my light tackle. I had my hands full several times When I hooked into a Nice Bronze-back, Several Large-mouth, several Drum, a Big Blue catfish and Several Channel Catfish. I was content with the Colors and had basically given up on finding Crappie.. Until the old trusty Hummingbird side view showed to me a school of fish. I only found One Crappie school in only one spot in an area where there was no reason for them to be. They were hugging the Bottom in Twelve FOW.. They stayed holding tight in an area only about 10' X 20'.. Inside the one spot is the only place I caught Crappie... I ended up at that last stop getting my limit with only Three shorties
Here are a couple of the Surprises I got on my 4# test >>>
http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u107/....jpg
http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u107/...LE1666.jpg
