6 & 8 April 2014 Lake Guntersville – Despite the rains and cooler water temps we still caught lots of good fish including an 8.13 which came on a Mussel Crawler jig from Tightline Jigs…we are still seeing most fish are running 2-4 pounds with several over 5 pounds in the mix and each day boating well over 20-30 fish. We caught them in water ranging from 1-8 foot. We’re still fishing the Middle to lower lake areas from Water Front down to Siebold. Water temperatures as I saif have cooled a little today but rebounded nicely this afternoon to 65 degrees. Our best results continue to come on T-Rigged D-Bomb (Super Bug and Candy Grass) from Missile Baits, Tightline Football head jig (Guntersville Special and Green Tequila) with twin turbo tail trailers from Missile Baits in 4-8 FOW and today Greg and Joseph whacked them on a 3/8 ounce Assassinator “Slam’in Guntersville Red” Buzz Bait.
