The bite was slow. Put in at wolftever around 7:30. Headed up the creek seeing a lot of fish on the screen in the channel. Went on to the tree top that I mentioned in my last report and only caught three small crappie. Moved on to the shallower water, saw just a few fish on the screen so I went on, slowly, looking at tree tops as close as I could. "Side scan would be nice. Maybe one day." Saw some fish in a shallow tree top. Caught a few there but no keepers. emoScratch Thinking about all the fish I saw on the screen in deeper water we decided to start trolling. Caught a few more 9 3/4 and under. We went out to Harrison Bay, looking at the screen and nothing. Wind started being an issue so we fished in several places out of the wind and still, everything we caught was under 10". Started trolling again in wolftever, finally, a keeper. 4:00,20 FOW, 14 1/2",wow emoApplause kept on trolling, more throw backs. We were thinking about hanging it up for the day and Brian catches a keeper 15 1/2" emoDance 21 FOW. We made another pass in that spot and Brian caught another keeper 12 1/2". Had to quit after that. The wife called. I was supposed to be home and I was still on the water. "OOPS" emoBigSmile Only caught three keepers but they were good ones. We put them back to lay their eggs and get bigger. Water in the creek was muddy at first but noticed it was clearing up later in the day. Water temp was 59 in the morning and 65 later in the day. Chartreuse was the color for trolling. Minnows were good in the tree tops. Kept hanging up with jigs so gave up on that. Water is up... Looked to be all the way up to summer level.
