Ever have one of those days on the ice where you catch one fish out of every hole you drill and by the end of the day you realize you have drilled 50 holes to catch ten fish? Well, that's what it was like for us in Hyrum this morning.

Put the boat on the water about 8:30 or so. Water temp was 45 at the ramp. The water was really dirty and had a ton of wood debris which reeked havoc on my sonar all day. We started to troll right off with one line on the down rigger and the other free line behind the boat ,eventually getting four lines in the water. We fished everything we had in the box all over that lake and could not lock into any pattern. The only color we seemed to have some semblance of a success on was blue and orange, but again we only caught 3 on that lure. We went from clown to perch to crocodiles to flatfish to pop gear, etc... We picked one maybe two on some of them. There was never a depth that stabilized, we caught em at 20' and 5' and in all different areas of the lake. All-in-all we picked up 10-15 or so, only one over 14".

Put away the trout stuff and headed to the back and found the water to be 50.5. Fished the stained water with spinner baits, jigs and plastics with no bites. Called it a day about 1:00.
