I took my girl fishing a couple weeks ago and now she's hooked. After about 1/2 hour of me sitting and waiting at my spot she told me I wasn't going to catch anything and she wanted a pole to go up river a bit. I put a big gob of worms on a hook for her and off she went.

5 minutes goes buy and she starts yelling for me. I set my pole down and go running to help. By the time I get to her she has a 10lb carp on shore, her first fish, ever. The best part is that I assumed she knew what to do but I was wrong, she didn't real in at all, just walked backwards and drug him to the bank. I'm not sure which one of us was happier since I keep telling everyone.

Now a couple weeks later she wants to go all the time so we went out the other day and found a new hole. After awhile and a few bites she finally hooked up and it was her first cat fish. She had a perfect hook set and fought it for awhile before she had me bring it in the rest of the way. Her first cat ended up to be a 25" 7 pounder. I cant express how stoked I am for her. My girl can out fish yours.

My son is 5yrs old and he's been fishing his whole life, it's funny now he's allways trying to talk me into going fishing:-) there's nothing better than a day outdoors with your kids!!!!

+1 - doesn't "camping" include beds, A/C, showers, and indoor plumbing? A continental breakfast is expected too.
