Okay I got the spelling right this time everyone relax. Can anyone verify that this out and is open enough to launch my pontoon boat. I am trying really hard to plan a date to get down there but I need to know how far the ice is not any help would be great. You can PM me if you would like.

I am headed to Scofield tomorrow with my float tube. I will post up a report.

One of our fisheries biologists visited Scofield Reservoir on Monday. He said shoreline anglers can now fish the dam cove.

The north and south ends of the reservoir are open and fishable, although the water depths at both ends are shallow.

From the dam cove (which is on the east side of the reservoir) going north to the Madsen Bay state park unit, there was 5–25 feet of open water along the shoreline. From the dam cove going south to the shallow south end, there was only about 5 feet of open water.

The west side is open, but the water is shallow and anglers typically wait until after spring run-off to fish there.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the report, Amy!!

Do you know if the river below the dam - I think it's called "Lower Fish Creek" - is open yet for fishing?

Thanks,
Nate

It is open all year to fishing. The water users have started letting 10 cfs out of the reservoir so the upper portion is now fishable again. Good luck!
