took a drive up there on Monday. the only soft water i saw was at the ladders. drove over to the dam, and nothing as far as soft water on SC. but i bet another two to three weeks it should be perfect. i fished the open water at the ladders that went out into the ice and did ok. did better a couple weeks ago there.

I fished Strawberry today. Open water at the Ladders but the guys fishing it didn't do well. Ice is starting to recede from the shore also in the Ladders, Chicken creek areas. I fell through by the shore at chicken creek but ice further out was 9 inches. It was very warm today and a lot of melting going on.

Chuuk, you said you drove to the dam? Is the road clear? I always wanted to ice fish down that way but dont have a snowmobile or 4 wheeler.

I turned around at the top of the steep hill before the dam but it looked Plowed all the way to the dam.
