Hi u all. New to the forum. I was wondering if anyone has any info on Farmington canyon. Do u know when the gate opens and if the fishing is still ok. Thanks

Welcome to the site TU. I can't tell you about when the gate will open for sure but I thought it was as soon as the snow melted on the road. Have you tried fishing the Community pond at the bottom of the road going up the canyon?

No I haven't fished that pond for awhile. I was just curious. I fished the canyon about 10 years ago and did really good. I haven't heard nothing about Farmington for awhile. I would think the fish r still there?

I do fish the weber a lot. Just wanted to go somewhere new for a change.

There is still a good number of small rainbows in the stream above the reservoir in the canyon. It is a little creek with plenty of brush surrounding it so use stealth as you approach each hole. The bows are not picky and will readily take any well presented fly.
