We hit willard south marina monday evening and the weather was beautiful. Trolled south, out of the marina and picked up several wipers, one walleye, and a bonus crappie. All of the smaller fish were released with the exception of one that did not survive. The kids had a blast catching fish. It's great when you get them out AND the fish bite. We trolled as slow as we could go and it seemed to work well. Fished last Saturday as well with similar results.
I wanted to thank everyone that posts regularly.
Your posts are fun to read and provide good info, so thank you.

That's an incredible cooler!
For those with more experience than I, how might the fishing at willard be friday morning just before the weekend storm rolls in? Will the fish be feeding like crazy or will they already be slowing down?

No telling what the storm Tuesday and Wednesday will do, but it probably won't be good. Two days to recover before the weekender may not be enough. But if there's any shot at good fishing, my money would be on Friday.

It's a cold front coming in so I would wait a few days buddy, maybe three unless we get high pressure right after the storm.

I am going to be trying my hand at trolling Willard in a few days. Any suggestions on lure type? (I have never put a boat on Willard, and as of yet have never caught a wiper.)
Any help is greatly appreciated.
