Before driving an hour or so to fish an area, what is the best weather app or source to look at for that area? Thanks.

I usually go to the weather section of ksl.com and click on the vortex tab. This gives you a live interactive radar of rain or snow, and the direction it's heading.

I have the KSL weather app on my phone. Other sites would be weather.com

I use the intellecast.com site, has great satellite and radar, however wind reports I use NOAA.gov.... it also has forcasts that are as good as any.... Good luck...J

radar.weather.gov is a great tool for current weather conditions. It is what most general aviation pilots use for their flight planning.

Yesterday before leaving work, I checked Accuweather.com for weather in Benson. I have never seen this on their site before, but it said rain was to begin falling in 6 minutes. I work just a few miles south of Benson, and when I left work 5 minutes later, the rain was just starting.

The wind is the main thing I'm interesting in checking, so I use usairnet.com (an aviation weather site), predictwind.com, and windfinder.com, as well as weather underground (wunderground).
