Ok for those of you that don't have time to get out, but still want to have your techniques tried.... I shouldn't do it, but I'm thinking about trying Hyrum on Friday, here's my rational; The week of storms and cold will most likely turn off the warm water fishies and at the same time it should slow the runoff making Hyrum a little clearer and hopefully giving the fish a better chance to find something to eat... If you were going to try such a venture what would your opening play be as far as rigging and general locations, like depth and etc.???
Suspect I will start with a trolling approach in the shallows near shore and maybe use a side planner to get in nice and close... Most likely try a flasher and a nightcrawler rig behind... Will fish shallow and at about 1.4 mph... Can't decide sometimes this time of year trolling a wolly bugger can be really good too... might put my second pole out with one of those on...
What do you like and what odds do you put on catching some? I'll report fish numbers, fish per hour and etc and see how good you do... will try some of your tips and how they turn out... Thanks Later J
