I wonder what the water guru's are thinking by releasing water this early in the season from the lake.

The lake is ~10 from full and the starting releasing 60+ scfs from the lake. They need to let it fill more before wasting water. The 10 ft to fill is then normal pool. However they have in the past had the lake 6 ft above the 5112 level.

They need to see how the spring and runoff go before wasting water downstream. Lets keep as much water as possible for we may have a barn burner dry summer and need the extra water.

Lots of water up high in the snow pack still. They are pretty good about judging capacities and what they have stored in snow pack to fill reservoirs. Looking at snowtel data filling ririe n paliSades should be a piece of cake this year.
