I have been catching Croppie every morning before work this week they all have been smaller males but keepers I am finding them on the steeper bank's with rock. They have been a little farther from shore and in groups you catch one you'll catch a couple more. The water depth is between five and 8 feet deep and they are on the bottom still catching them on the limegreen pro baby shad from Soddy Daisy Bait&tackle. I have noticed on several occasions crappy following my jig just behind it and then swimming away when it comes close to shore. So just for the heck of it during my retrieve I started to give the jig a quick snap and often they would pounce on it right after I did that. so looks like they need a little coaxing rite now. The water sure is nice and pretty now isn't it.
