So far that's all ive heard also. 21,000 baby trout is probly only enough for one stocking between the few places they stock but its definatly a step in the rite direction. Im not sure if willow will raise em up big then release them or dump em as soon as they get em. guess its just a wait and see.

I have mixed feeling about it since 21,000 juvenile trout isn't much when it's split up between Willow, Bullhead, tribes, etc.. It's fantastic that efforts are being made to keep trout flowing through the hatchery, but that the USFWS is the root of the problem.
Those 21,000 juvenile trout are going to take time to grow out, possibly a year? The part of this whole situation, WBNFH dumped almost 100,000 juvenile trout almost a year ago. Those dumped trout would probably be stocking size by now...

"In addition, 99,855 smaller trout weighing 2,184 lbs. were stocked downstream of the Willow Beach area."
Don't get me wrong, I'm really happy local political pressure got the trout program running again to some degree, but I'd like to see the USFWS realize that they have a responsibility to sports fishermen, and not solely supporting endangered species.

The 21K trout from AZ are all going down to Bullhead next winter, none of them are going to be stocked at Willow Beach.
