My brother is coming up from California to visit next week. I wanted to take him fishing. He has been fighting brain cancer for quite some time. It seem like he is starting to finally loose this fight. This will be our last time to fish together I have a feeling. My boat will not be ready to go by next week so I am thinking of taking him bank tangling. I was thinking Utah lake. We grew up together catching catfish and other warm water fish. I was thinking willard but I don't need him slipping on the rocks and bumping his head. So can any one tell me a good place to fish on the north side of utah lake. I am coming from Brigham City so I am hoping not to have to travel all the way down to the south side of the lake. Also, are there catfish and white bass being caught off the bank yet?

Sorry to hear that about your brother. American Fork boat harbor is a possibility, and considering you are coming from Brigham City I would also consider giving Cutler a try.

I was thinking cutler also. He is staying with my sister in Bountiful, so I would have to go pick him up down there anyways. I think A.F. Boat Harbor might be a good starting point.

Also sorry about your brother's trouble. Pelican Bay public marina is down that way, too. I don't know if they are biting yet there, but they should be. Not the best year for white bass, but I find bluegills there, crappie, cats, and the occasional LMB. Hiking or wading north or south will find you some fish.
