I had my first opportunity to fish with David East today. I have been wanting to fish with him for a long time. We went to the Nick in search of big shellcrackers, but they were basically a no-show. We did catch a couple of nice ones, but lots of bluegills, small shellcrackers, golden shiners, channel catfish, crappie, and one trashy green fish. We caught most of our fish on worms, but I did manage a couple of crappie on a southern pro tiny worm. <br /><br />Check out the first pic and if you want to catch fish like the one in pic 1, then give old David a call and he will put you on them. emoPoke Just teasing David a little bit. He is a great fisherman and knows the water very well. The 2nd pic does him more justice.<br /><br />I had a blast today, David, in spite of the wind. Just wait until it warms just a little bit more and the wind finally blows itself out and those fish had better tighten their chin straps. I'm coming back for vengence. emoBig emoGeezer Water temp was near 67 degrees and good current in the river. Did I mention that the wind blew?
