Rick and I went down Thursday night to get an early start Friday morning. First stop of the day Rick picks up a short and we move on. Second stop, I get a 4 off of a laydown, we catch a few small keepers in the area, and then Rick lays into the 7.80 lber. She comes out of the water 4 or 5 times before I net her. Ricks PB !. We fished the same type areas for the rest of the day and ended catching around 25 fish with 13 keepers with best 5 going 22lbs. Lost a lot of fish and had the bait ripped off. Almost every fish was caught on a weightless senko. Tournament day we started where Rick caught the big one. Rick boats 2 quick keepers and at almost the exact spot he got the big one, I hook up the 6.5lber, she came out of the water 4 times and Rick thought I lost her twice. We worked the area until around 8 and left the area with 18lbs in the first hour. We only fished two other spots the rest of the day and caught keepers at both spots. Around 1 we moved out to the main river and Rick culls one of the smaller fish. Shortly after, I hook up the 5.5lber off of a laydown. This fish would not give up and kept running under the boat, one of the strongest bass I have ever caught. We ended up catching 25 fish with 14 keepers All coming on a weightless senko. All fish both days came from 2-5 ft of water. Had a great time fishing with Rick.
