Mom was off today due to voting and we hit the Riverpark this morning. Started out on my favorite secret spot bank and the topwater bite was on fire. One after another, mostly small males with a female here and there. Then it happened. A massive largemouth destroyed my torpedo. Ended up going 6.03 lbs. Super awesome sight to see that thing break top. Got another nice LM around 2.75 lbs and had one around 4 lbs destroy the torpedo but missed the bait. Mom got a few on pig n jig as well.
Headed back to downtown and same thing, topwater and pig and jigs. On one bank on Sunday a bird kept following me and Alvin wanting us to feed him a fish. We never got anything small enough. Today the bird was still there. I got a small fish on my crappie jig and fed it to the bird. He was very happy and followed us for a while longer.
We ended up with 62 spots, 2 LM, 1 blue cat, 9 google eyes, and 1 crappie. We hooked and lost atleast another 15-20 bass. Water was 69 degrees and the fish were super shallow.
Perfect day for weather and awesome day to spend with mom.
