Fished with a new partner today, Mike. It was his first CFF tx. Started at Hales Bar Marina, caught couple of shorts, and a small keeper. Was working in , toward the restaurant, and another boat was in the area. Watched him land a decent keeper. Fished back out to the power house, ran across the river. Started first point below the lock,and worked toward the lock, and barge tie ups. Saw several boats pull in and fish various parts. Was a great short fish pattern, never got another keeper. Most of the strikes were in 6-10 FOW. Used square bills,spinner baits, jigs and shakey head, all worked. Ran across and fished around the barges and tow boats. More short fish. A little windy, and a few sprinkles. For the number of boats in the various tx, we were pretty lonely most of the day. Thanks to the committee for another well run tx.
