Never cared much for Utah Lake, but my bias might be changing. It had been 3 to 4 decades since I had visited Utah Lake, my old memories were Fishing around Geneva Steel.

Thursday, Cous and I headed out in his boat to Lincoln beach area (where's the beach?). On the water about noon. Started very slow. Then mid afternoon it went crazy. We had a contest, most species, most of a species, largest of a species. My only quest was to have a great day.

Tally, 1 Walleye 6 plus pounds 26 inches-me
Cous 2 smaller walleye 4 lb and 5 lb.

Cous 1 4 lb carp foul hooked

Me, 1 4 lb Channel

Cous 50 plus White Bass
Me, 50 Plus Whit bass, I had the largest by at least a 1/4 inch.

Cous 1 small rock hooked and landed
Me, several large rocks hook, but not landed.

I rather be lucky than good.

Any size to the white bass??? As well do you know if there running up the provo river yet?

Sorry no size to the white bass, but a ton of fun. Ok, three sizes, small, smaller, and tiny.

Every thing worked, but the Jig in the picture was my most successful. I fished it without a bobber, but the bobber worked as well.

Uinta-- Any chance you could share where you caught the wb? I've tried several places at Lincoln and have not been able to get anything other than an occasional lost wb. The mouth of Benjamin slough and out from the springs has produced in times past but not so much this year.

Anyways, good report and nice catch.

Sure, West of Boat ramp, there are 3 underwater points,
about 1/4 separated from each other, where the lake drops from 4 to 8ish feet. They are also out from the old boat ramp, would be first point, the last point is 200 yards straight out from drive way of fruit tree ranch.

Maybe any where were the lake drops off, they were on the tops, all and only boys white bass. Walleye where just around them.

If you know where whorehouse rocks are, then out from there.

Good luck, this was from a boat.

Much obliged Uinta. I was around the first spring today but way too shallow from your description. Spent most of the day letting my crew shoot carp so I really didn't get a chance to go after the wb but will definitely get after them next week.

I'll be carving up carp for the next few hours -- from no carp to too many carp, but all good cat bait.

Thanks again. I appreciate you willingness to share.
