Is there any fish to be had in the green river above the Gorge? I will be in Rock Springs for the next 14 days and am looking for somewhere to kill some time.

There's fish to be had, but I just drove past it, and it's very high. Above average for the season, up in the grass and out of regular banks, and off-color to really muddy. Even the water coming out of Fontenelle Res upstream is not clear because the lake is low, and runoff going into Fontenelle is muddy. If you can swing the hour+ drive to the lower Green below the lake, it would be a much better option.

Yeah.... I dont know. I can swing it on an off day but on the days I work I would be hard pressed. Hard to justify the miles on the company vehicle... There is a creek thay runs through rock springs, anyone know if it has fish in it?

That's Bitter Creek maybe? Fishless and often bone dry from what I've seen. Maybe you could investigate some creeks up above Farson coming off the Wind River range, but again, an hour+ drive for openers. Just bad timing for runoff at the moment. Otherwise, you could fish the Green in town (Green River).
