with low water level it was a bad year for ice off at the berry bet we didn't catch even a dozen fish over the 25 inch mark and that 27 was all most the biggest only got 2 bigger[inline 10308092_889519351074755_6792639429718261202_n.jpg]er but they are still swimming

that's a great catch, the one in the middle is a real nice slot cut.

Huh?!? Not. If you can't tell that that one is a Rainbow trout, I hope you never fish at Strawberry.

Only a dozen over the 25" mark?

Yeah, that blows Smile

compared to a high water year where we can and do catch 6 or 7 in a day it does

if it has any cut throat markings it's a cut, plus its clearly in the slot , 21 incher if you look close . I know it doesn't matter to you , and yes if fish the berry a lot. I just let the big ones go. to each his own though.

I don't see any cutthroat markings. Please enlighten us.

clearly a bow and clearly over 22 inches but you may see what ever your eyes may let you see we did bring home 7 fish today and let other slot buster cuts go that we could of kept
[signature]
it has the spots of a cut, heavy on the tail lighter to the front . but the fins of a bow, probably a cut/bow but cut bows are still considered cuts. plus when you measure you have to start at the nose not 2 inches in front of it . but like I said it doesn't matter
[signature]
yes I did just set a tape on it at home after a hour ride to dry and not pinch the tail but it is still clearly over 22 and I will let any and every one else on this site teach you how to tell a bow and a cut apart may you need to go look it up again before you get in trouble some where
[signature]
thanks, but I let the big ones go . especially at straw berry . so there will be no chance of me getting in trouble misidentifying any fish . I shouldn't have commented I just hate to see the big ones harvested when they are needed for other things. you feel differently so it is what it is . [Smile]

Time for some reading glasses dude!

That is a rainbow, clear as a sunny day!

I let many big fish go but today was one of those rare occasions when my dad came up and wanted some for the smoker these 2 slot busters of the i think 4 we caught today came home and these big fish was eating rainbow they both had 7 inch bows inside them the one had 3 in it so unless you want them to pick off a few planters

you guys obviously need a lesson in biology. the fish in said picture is clearly a charred marble yodeler paddlefish. known for its mystical powers in magic

You have clearly got it dialed in out there. Those big cutts are by far my most favorite fish that swims. There is just something about them.
[signature]
Definitely a cut/bow in the spawning color. Not a legal fish to harvest!
[signature]
you're the best slotbuster fisherman but the WORST picture taker! you ain't doing these big fish justice. Get someone to hold the fish and truly show off the size of these bad boys! But I'd rather be a good fisherman than a good photographer. Great fish and you sure have them dialed down.
