On Tuesday I got to experience a crazy moment at Utah Lake. Apparently there was an older guy who gave a younger guy some jigs but later in the day the younger guy saw that his boat wasn't tied to the dock so he quickly grabbed the rope and tied it to the docks. 3 other people were next to the young guy when he was saving the old guys boat and the older guy though the younger guy stole his tackle box. The older guy was speeding around in his boat fast around the provo river screaming where the younger guy was. He jumped out of his boat and screamed at the young guys friend first then screamed at me for stealing his tackle box but I didn't have anything except my fly rod gear. Then old guy told the young guy friend that he's going to kick the other guys ### if he didn't give back his tackle box when neither of them had it. Luckily there was a cop in the area to try and calm the old guy down. The screaming incident went on for a good 10+ minutes. The younger guy even let the cop to do a search in the car and no other tackle box was found that the older guy identify.

All I got to say make sure you look around your surrounding because that can happen again to anyone.

I hope they put up some security camera on every light pole at the provo harbor ASAP.

I had a bag of spinners and other tackle taken from me at Utah Lake once. From now on I just keep my gear very close to me when I fish UL.

People just need to understand where they are and keep an eye on their stuff.. Utah Lake is a well known gathering place for all sorts of bad people.

Hell no to security cameras! But yeah ly no good deed is left unpunished. Just let the guy's boat float away or get screwed up on it's own! Don't try to help unless you know someone is friendly or you will be sorry. I used to be a nice guy who lent a helping hand. Up until that hand got slapped too many times for no reason.

Good heavens. I think I lose a tackle box worth of lures every time I fish! []
