I took my four children to Utah Lake this morning to do a little worm drowning. First pole had been in the water five minutes, not even long enough to set up the second when it jumped into the water. My seven year old grabbed it and reeled in a 23 inch channel catfish. We caught another little channel and a dozen mudders. Also a couple white bass. The neighbors were pulling in a bunch of little "carp." Turned out to be white bass they just had no idea what they were. Not a bad morning with the kids.

That's AWESOME! I think I will take my wife there this weekend. How much is AF charging now to get in?

They charge five dollars for fishing, less if you walk in, more if you have a boat.

Good to know! Thanks Bro!

I've done a bit of ice fishing at UL but have yet to do much open water fishing. Were you fishing from a boat at the harbor or from the shore or docks? Glad to hear the kiddos had a good time. I got a few that would love to get out.
Also, you just letting the worm sink to the bottom or do you have it below a bobber?

We were fishing from the shore. Just letting the worm sink. Other group catching the white bass had them under bobbers.
