After my good buddy debated with his wife about date night vs. fishing, he finally got a last minute pass to head out with me. We fished the north end from about 5pm till dark. We used sinking line and various shades of homemade buggers that included white, black, and green variations. I don't really think there was a hot color. The catching was incredible. Between us, we brought in approximately 80 crappie, 3 wipers, and my buddy even got a nice 21" walleye. I hope the action stays good all summer. Sorry, no pics as I've dropped too many phones and things in the water. My buddy Rob May post some pics.

Nice report Justin, thanks for sharing it with us. Did you two catch any crappie over 12"? Sounds like and awesome day, hope it continues but I some how doubt it, in years part the best of this killer action is over in May and by the middle of June it is back to normal. Without a doubt this is the best year ever at Willard. Walleye, wipers and crappie, in off the hook numbers, who could ask for more[Smile].

I have my three weight out hoping to have a Crappie day at Willard.
Good report. Sounds like more fun than the law will allow. Keep a look out for the fun police. What was the water depth where you were fishing? We're you fishing from a boat, tube or tune?
