Hitting Utah Lake tomorrow with a buddy and his son. Trying to get the kid to hook into a big cat and a bunch of whities.

Having said that I have a couple questions.

1. Does anyone have current info on the bubble-up? I love fishing there but it can be hit and miss - so info would be good to help me decide between there and AF.

2. What are the fees to launch now at AF and Lindon?

Been a long time since I have gotten a line wet and I may be looking forward to it more than the kid. Thanks in advance and I'll be sure to report on the day.

[#0000FF]I have hit the bubbleup 3 or 4 times recently. Have not seen any outflow from the pipe and very few white bass in the area. But there are some walleyes hitting on both sides of the pipe...on plastics. And the cats have been very active on either side of the buoy line. On warm days they will be in fairly shallow but you can find them clear out by the end in 5-6 feet of water too.

Usually good cattin' in between the harbor and the bubbleup. Just keep working in and out from shallow to deep until you find the zone for the day.

About the same entrance fee at both harbors...$5 for day use. $8 for launching. HERE'S A LINK to info on the Utah Lake harbors.

There has been good white bass action around the rocks at both harbors...but the fish are mostly pretty small. Some crappies inside the harbors...and bluegills.

As I recall there is no camping at am fork, can you park and fish there all night.
Is there any good areas to shore fish.

Lots of people fishing from the bank today. I have done well from the bank in the past but was in a boat this trip. I think you can park outside the gates and walk-in after dark but I may be mistaken.

[#0000FF]There is no camping. The area you see trailers and all that is the private Timpanogos Club.

But, yes, you can come and go almost anytime. The gate has always been open whenever I have gone there. Just pay the appropriate fee as posted on the wall...or don't pay and risk paying double if they catch you.

Lots of good fishing from shore...inside and outside. Sometimes it is good for crappies, bluegill and sunfish around the inside shoreline. Fishing off the rocks around the outside can be good for white bass, catfish and even walleye. I have heard they are catching a few walleye at the mouth of the American Fork River...to the west of the harbor.

During the warmer months of summer there are some big cats caught inside at night. But there is almost always some action on both bullheads and channels around the outside.
