Fantastic Couple of days on Guntersville...here is the full report<br />9-10 June 2014 Lake Guntersville – This report is for Monday and Tuesday of this week. The heavy rains and storms have not affected the fishing much. We caught fish at every depth of water you can put the boat in from 1 to 25 foot of water. The ledge fishing is great with ½ and ¾ ounce Tightline Mussel Crawler Jigs, 8-10 inch worms and deep diving crankbaits such as a Rapala DT -20 or 16. We also found a great hollow body frog and flipping bite in thick primrose and lily pads with milfoil mixed in. If you looking for pure numbers; early in the morning and late afternoon we found several schools running the main channel grass lines. There is several areas throughout the lake where the grass is starting to top out on the surface despite the fact we just experienced the coldest winter in years. The top water bite and the ledge bite has really fired up! I look for it to continue through the summer. Water temperatures range from 80-82 degrees on the main lake/channel. It’s time to get your dates reserved for the early season frog action. With that said there is a couple of great frog tournaments coming up soon; New this year is the King Frog Bass Tour on July 26, August 30, September 27 with a two day Championship on 11 &amp; 12 Oct 2014 out of Goose Pond, rules and entry forms can be found at www.kingfrogbassseries.com or call Gene Brooks at 423-645-3547.
