Well the moral of this story is that when you're catching them good, there's someone catching them better. Jeff and I started off slow to say the least. I let a few keepers get loose and Jeff put our first fish in the livewell. It was a skinny fish with battle marks everywhere. A little later I got #2 in the boat and then got our limit soon after. We moved a bit deeper and I get just a faint tap I reeled down a ton of slack and barely stuck the fish as it was racing toward the boat and it was the 8.68 that won us big fish. Jeff was chunking a blade and stuck our other nice fish that was right at 6. We felt the need to cull our last 2.5 lber but the rain and lightning made us chicken out. We found Hippi and Seth already out of the water too and I learned that there was a 20lb limit!!!!! Dang it I just knew we had enough for first and big fish but a big congrats to that guy with 3 great bass. 2nd and big fish was nice enough and I set another PB with 16 and change. It never got as bad as the radar indicated and that cost us some fishing time. The rain actually stopped by 1:30. Fish were caught in 5-15 FOW and temps were down to 78.
