Caught 8 skinny fish on Saturday in a couple hours. River is running and went on plane all the way. Biggest was 7 1/2 ft. Cut several braided leaders out and removed a few chrome hooks, guess ya just can't fix stupid. Their pigging out now, lots of food in the water. Hope the water stays up for awhile. Pm for a boat ride.

I cut out two the last time I was there. There is something in the hole that is sharp. I think it might be a shopping cart or something. Bug was there and he lost a rig. He said he felt something set the hook and it was cut. I did the same thing, I felt a bump and the line was cut. From where you were it is straight out about mid way and a little east. I need to see if I can hook it and drag it out. The fish I saw with the leaders were thick 130 pound leader. Ron

That point extends out and there is always junk on it. In the last 15 years I've lost a half dozen anchors each with a hundred feet of rope. I've came up with my own design and haven't lost one since. The problem is the newbies that walk in and fish with store bought leaders and such. We very seldom lose gear from the boat. This flow will make the fish active and maybe wash all the ghost gear out or at least cover it up with debrie. They sure are thin.

The piece I found is on the sandbar just as the sandbar is coming up, not the rock shelf. It is very sharp and even though I was vertical over the top of it is took a rig from me so fast it was scary. It cut 50 pound mono like it was butter. I am sure that some of that ghost gear is from that thing whatever it is. I haven't lost a rig in a very long time so it pissed me off. I haven't taken the fish finder in there for a long time. I need to take it and try to find whatever it is and tug it out. It would be nice if the water washed it out. I found a couple shopping carts last year and a christmas tree the year before. The bank guys lose 10 pounds of lead every time they fish there. Ron
