Just finished up two days on the Gorge, weather was incredible, sunny, warm and just a breeze both days. Got there Thursday at 0845 put in at Sheep Creek and ran up to Jarvies where we Flyfished some bass, after that we headed down lake fishing all the coves and rocky points, fish were a bit tight lipped, not sure if it was from the cold front or they were stuffed from all the Cicada's, the water is littered with them and the fish were pounding them, me and my buddy both hooked a few up on the fly rods, jigged a few more coves and picked up a few more Bows' here and there.
Today on the water at 0730, ran up to eagle creek and drifted the East (I think) shore all the way back to hideout hitting every point and cove on the way, fishing was on fire!! Lost track of all the fish, threw crawdad colored jigs tipped with worm and the Bows' were killing them, mix in a few bass and it was great!! Again, weather was incredible!! Crawdad (pumpkin) smoke, green and black jigs on 1/4 heads were used.
