Well, I am a bit embarrassed but I have to admit it ... I left my brand new electric fillet knife, and all the accessories, at the Willard South Marina cleaning station.
If anyone found it and would like to return it, it is in a bright yellow tool bag. If I remember right, it's a Rapala brand knife.
I got it as a Christmas gift and today was the first time I have used it.
Dang! And it worked so good.
If you find it, please give me a call at 801-726-5267.
Thanks,

Hope you get it back. How was fishing this morning?

The fishing was nothing short of fantastic. We were only there from 7:00 to 10:30 and caught 15 fish ... a mix of both wiper and walleye ... a few more walleye than wipers.
The hot lure of the day was the Storm Thin Fin in silver with a black back. Caught everything out in the middle about a mile or two north of the island. Trolled 3.1 - 3.3 mph (GPS).
We kept and filleted 4 wipers and 4 walleye.
Sure hope I get my new fillet knife back.

Thanks for posting a report Ralph, too bad you forgot your knife, once you remembered it, did you go back and look and see if it is still there? We were out there yesterday and the camp ground hose was there checking on the cleaning station, when we got there and when we left. If he did not find it, it is possible someone turned it in to him, might be worth a trip out there to check.

It wasn't there at 9:30 last night. I suspect the mosquitos packed it off! Hope you get it back

That sucks. I've left two rubber net's there.

No, I didn't go back and check. I had a wedding to go to.
What's interesting is that when I was putting it all together in that nice tool bag, I actually considered putting an "If Found, return to ..." tag on it. Now I sure wish I would have.
Without driving out there, does anyone know who I might call to see if it got turned into someone/somewhere?

Oh, and one more thing about how good the fishing was ... we were catching them so fast and getting me tired of running the circus with the newbies, we decided to retire the two outside planer rods and just fish the straight back rods ... and we STILL were very busy starting and stopping to unhook fish. Just crazy!

Don't you love days like that? When you are using less rods and still catching good numbers, it is about as good as it gets. Here is the number for Willard bay state parks
435-734-9494. You will likely get voice mail but short of driving out there that is about as good as you can do. You could also advertise it on KSL's Lost & Found section of the classifies.

Sorry about the knife, I hope someone sees this post and calls or that the camp host has it. Sounds like you had a great day of fishing,
to lose your new Christmas present. Hope it comes back to you.

[#0000FF]You have my heartfelt sympathies ol' buddy. I know how much you were looking forward to joining the electric knife age...after the whitefish trip at Bear Lake. And then to lose it after its first outing. Ouch.
I can also sense that you are beating yourself about the head and shoulders for forgetting it. If there was ever an organized and detailed (semi-anal) angler it's gotta be you. Everything written down and everything in it's place. Even a checklist...even if you forget it and leave it home. (Sorry)
I hope you get it back but don't have much optimism. Seems that anything anybody lets out of their sight for a nanosecond tends to disappear into the land of ungrateful accommodaters. In fact, Willard seems plagued by carloads of cruisers who "clean up" whatever anybody else has left behind, even if they left it behind locked in their vehicles.
My sincerest best wishes for a return of your knife.
