Back in early may ,I went to a meeting ,given by the Wyoming G&F. One of the topics of the meeting ,was how fast the water was coming up @the gorge. Robb Keith said the BecRec was going to try for a temporary high water mark of 6033 this year. Right now it's 6027,and gaining every day. BECREC is intentionally letting lots of water out of fontenelle Trying to make room for the remain g runoff. I haven't seen the green river here in town, flow this hard in the last 6 yrs. Most mountains in the upper green river drainage , above 7500 ft got 2-3 ft of fresh snow last week.
So in answer to your question,I don't think it will hit the high water mark of 6040,but I say if the weather continues as normal we might see 6033 the third week in July.

At the April Flaming Gorge Work Group meeting in Vernal the Bureau of Reclamation prediction was 6032ft by August 1st. Like Kokeking stated, it's already 6027ft, and with average releases from Flaming Gorge Dam down to 1726cfs it could hit the target elevation earlier than that. They prefer to not take the reservoir above 6033ft, using that elevation as the operational full pool.
