Just got back into fishing after a 30 year layoff.

Was encouraged over the last few years by a friend from Draper, every year he would show the pictures of his catches, trout, bass, walleye, and tell the tales of how, when, where and why.

Well he got me out on the Middle Provo this year in February, cold morning before the sun was over the mountains, an ugly stick with a rooster tail, and hooked a trout on the first cast, heart beat threatening to come right out my chest, 30 years of not fishing forgotten in an instant, the thrill of that hook up enough to remind me of the good old days.

I've been fishing more this year than my friend has!

Going to continue hunting the fish, one at a time, day after day!

Mostly been fishing the middle Provo, spinning and recently fly fishing again, still got some muscle memory, but technique is still rusty or lacking.

Fished Utah Lake round the back of the airport.

Went out to Mill Hollow Reservoir this evening with a couple of friends, we got 10 fish between us, Tiger Tout, Rainbows, and Brook trout, got up there about 6:15 fished until just before dusk.

It was a fun evening, watching the fish jump and then trying to present a spinner for them to take.

We bypassed the dam and parked at the upper end, it's a bit of scramble down the hill to water, I walked out along the path above the high water mark along to the dam, and the guys picked me up there.
