With a little inspiration from Tube dude's photos of his rig, I decided to take the plunge and modify my 9 year old kick boat in order to remedy all the things that I have struggled with over the years. After three weeks, multiple trips to the hardware store, comments from my better half referring to obsessive behavior in whispered tones; I believe she is ready for her maiden voyage. Just need to register and Mount the bow numbers. If anyone has a creative method for accomplishing this last item and is willing to share I would definitely appreciate it. [cool]

Very frosty job! Clean. Look forward to hearing out water test. As for license, I like "license plates ". A piece of metal, or plastic or wood. Then either paint or buy 3" numbers and letters. Then of course you State sticker and month/year stickers. Put it all on the plate the same as you would a boat. Mount the plate right off the frame.

Looks good. However a suggestion on your motor. I would recommend turning the head around and have it pull you rather than push. You will have better control that way.
On the mounting of the numbers I used plexiglass and attached them to the side . Here is a couple of pics of my ride.

Agree with the goddess lady. Stick your registration stuff on a piece of wood, plexiglass or plastic and hang it off the frame when in use.

Albino, look closely on his motor you see he has the optional rudder mounted on the shaft and the cables going to the front like the old Water Otter pontoons. He will be going forward with full steering. No fins I imagine.

Albino, this was before your pontoon experience. Back in the late 80's early 90's, Water Otter had the Versa Vessle which had all the cables for steering the pontoon.
It didn't really catch on then, maybe it will now.

I am interested to see how it works on the water. The rudder will help the stability with the steering.
