Undoubtedly some don't make it, but it is a cost-effective and efficient way to stock the hard-to-access high mountain lakes.

[#0000FF]Watched a news report on that...on one of the Salt Lake stations. Had a DWR rep there who claimed the loss factor was only 5 - 10%...and that there is an equivalent loss for stocking by truck. Trout are wimps but they evidently can withstand some rough treatment when smaller.
